Scan to BIM, scan to Revit and laser scan to Revit describe this modelling step, not the survey. Read point cloud to Revit.
Questions
No. RVTForm does not carry out site surveys or laser scanning. You or your survey provider supply a registered point cloud. We model from that data to the agreed scope.
A registered cloud that can be referenced in Revit — commonly a Recap project or an agreed exchange format — plus any drawings or notes that define what should be modelled. Unregistered raw scan files are not a usable starting point.
The model follows the registered scan and the agreed level of detail. It is not a substitute for the survey. Gaps, occlusions and modelling simplifications are identified during review rather than guessed.
Scan to BIM is the common search term. In this service it means an existing-conditions Revit model from the supplied cloud. It is not a BIM management appointment unless that is written into a separate scope.
