CAD to Revit conversion produces an accurate, editable Revit model from 2D drawings. CAD to BIM conversion goes further: the model is built with structured, coordinated information for BIM use — consistent element categorisation, parameter data and, where required, IFC export for coordination with other disciplines.

Drawings can be rebuilt as native Revit elements with consistent categories. Whether that meets a BIM information requirement depends on what the appointment asked for — parameters, naming and exchanges have to be specified. A Revit file is not automatically a full BIM deliverable.

The model can be developed to an agreed level of detail based on the available information and the intended use. Categories, parameters and documentation are confirmed in the quotation before work begins.

A typical package includes 2D CAD or PDF drawings (plans, sections, elevations), any available schedules or specifications, and a note on how the model will be used — including whether IFC export or a specific level of development is required. We review the package and issue a fixed quotation.

Yes. The model is built using Revit's native element categories, so your team can open, modify and develop it after delivery.
